Star Spangled Smoothie Bowl

Blue Spirulina Smoothie

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 2 cups of frozen blueberries
  • 1.5 cups of almond milk
  • 2 tbsps blue spirulina (we found ours on luckyvitamin.com)
  • 4 tbsps chia seeds
  • 1/2 cup of coconut cream
  • For garnish: 1 cup of frozen blueberries and/or blackberries
  • Optional: Top with starfruit for Memorial Day inspired stars

DIRECTIONS:

  • Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender, and blend on high until smooth.
  • Scoop smoothie into a bowl and top as desired.
  • Serve chilled.

Vanilla Powerhouse Smoothie

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 lb of organic silken tofu
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 2 tbsps almond butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Splash of plant-based milk, as needed to blend
  • Optional: Dried coconut chips for garnish

DIRECTIONS:

  • Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender, and blend on high until smooth. Work in plant-based milk (we recommend almond or coconut milk) as needed, until creamy consistency is achieved.
  • Scoop smoothie into a bowl and top as desired.
  • Serve chilled.
