It's one of the latest fads in dieting and healthy eating...it's the juice cleanse! If you haven't yet heard about this new trend in cleansing, odds are you soon will...and you may even want to try it yourself! I had heard of juice cleansing before, however it typically carried a negative connotation as a crash diet that really didn't last for more than a couple of days. Recently people who juice cleanse daily, weekly or annually have been telling their stories, about how juice cleansing helped them reach a better, healthier version of themselves! There have been no proven health benefit studies done on these juice cleanses, however juice cleansers seem to rave about this nutrition-filled drink. I just had to know more!
People who juice cleanse typically choose to do so as an effort to lose weight, stop bad habits (smoking, drinking soda, caffeine), or help with arthritis, chronic pain or depression. It is typically known as an alternative medicine, which can also sometimes help with sleep deprivation. The idea behind the juice cleanse is that it will remove any bad bacteria from your intestines, leaving only the good bacteria behind, leaving you a healthy digestion track. Most studies instruct to do a monthly or yearly cleanse, however some juicers prefer to do a daily or bi-weekly cleanse.
If you're thinking about juicing, be sure to have plenty of vitamins available to make up for the vitamins you could be missing by drinking a juice diet, (fiber, calcium, etc.). You will want to purchase a juicer which can turn your vegetables and fruits into a health-filled drink. Juicing is a great way to introduce fruits and vegetables into your diet that you wouldn't typically consume, which is a great way to provide yourself with the nutrients your body needs.
