If you’re one of the unlucky, allergy-prone individuals suffering through Springtime allergies right now, you’re probably at your wit's end, hoping and praying for Spring to end. You’ve tried everything, including some of our natural remedy suggestions, but the suffering is so great that nothing seems to make a difference. But, there is still one more thing to try. And, I warn you, it doesn’t sound very appetizing, but it can work wonders for your allergy suffering!
Anti-Allergy Soup -
Boil an onion with the skin on it with a clove of garlic.
Add 1 cup of chopped leaves and roots of evening primrose.
Boil for 5 minutes and then add 1 cup of nettle leaves and 1 cup of diced celery.
Continue to boil for 3-10 minutes. Remove the onion skins and eat while warm.
The following can be added for flavor: wine vinegar, black pepper, hot pepper, curry powder.
NOTE: You can strain the soup to make it a tea instead if you prefer.
It’s a potent and pungent soup, but it can help you fight off the allergy symptoms that your are struggling with. No one ever said medicine was delicious!
